ISSA AFRO-LATINX DANCE INTENSIVE!
CLASSES TAUGHT BY THE HAUS OF GLITTER DANCE COMPANY
Join The Haus of Glitter Dance Company for our first ever teaching season: A Saturday Afro-Latinx Dance Intensive, in cooperation with AS220! We will be teaching the foundations + embodied history of Afro-Latinx Dance AND you’ll get to learn some of our favorite choreography from The Haus of Glitter’s original activist dance opera! Come just for fun! Come to challenge yourself // decolonize your body! Come to train! Come to werk! Come to slay! Just come! All bodies are welcome!
At the end of the season, we will be hosting auditions to join the company cast (paid) for the November 2022 staged performance of our activist dance opera! If you know you are NOT interested in auditioning/performing, come anyway! This series is first and foremost about having fun with community, loving our bodies, and preserving Queer + Afro-Latinx lineages of dance, music, culture and history! If you know you ARE interested in auditioning, please register for a season pass, come to all/most dance intensive sessions so you know all the choreography prior to auditions.
